BÖWE SYSTEC APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR UK AND IRELAND

Böwe Systec announces today the appointment of a new managing director, Waleed Khan, to lead its business unit in the UK and Ireland. Waleed, (50) brings with him 17 years of industry experience and has most recently led Böwe to be the partner of choice for the new entrants to the deregulated postal market in Europe.

Waleed succeeds Sue Douglas, who after 8 years at the helm is leaving Böwe Systec UK to pursue other opportunities.

Joachim Koschier, main board member of Böwe Systec GmbH with worldwide responsibility for Sales & Service, said: “We are very happy that Waleed has accepted the position as MD for BOWE SYSTEC UK. Waleed has leadership qualities and is an experienced businessman. We are convinced that Waleed will be able to expand our company's market position in the UK with his can do and collaborative style of management”

Before this appointment, Waleed was Head of Business Development for the International Sorting business of Böwe, and gained his extensive business experience from previous roles in capital equipment and financial solutions sales.
